I had this drawing, which stresses the importance of always packing plenty of hot dogs for any adventure, all penciled and ready to be scanned and colored. Then yesterday, during an intense bit of scout action in TF2, I accidentally spilled my water bottle ALL OVER it. Fortunately the line work survived and the paper didn't tear, but now the drawing is all wrinkled and warped.
I've scanned it (something I guess I should have done as soon as it was finished) and all those gray smudges are a result of the uneven surface. Now I have to decide whether to try to clean up all the gray or color over it and hope the smudges work as an impromptu texture. And if neither work I guess I'll just have to trace the original drawing onto a new sheet of paper.
Either way, lesson learned: Always make sure the cap of your water bottle is properly screwed on while playing TF2.
